Laropal® A 101 by BASF is a carboxyl acrylic resin. It offers corrosion resistance and flexibility. It is also used as a sole acrylic for ultra-low gloss.<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li> Laropal® A 101 is suitable for gloss control in acrylic hybrid powder coatings.</li> </ul> Laropal® A 81 by BASF is a condensed product from urea and aliphatic aldehydes. Used in combination with binders in many types of coating formulations and for manufacturing of solvent-based pigment pastes.<br>
<ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It is an aldehyde resin for pigment dispersions and because of its excellent solubility and compatibility it can be used in many types of coating formulations.</li>
<li>It improves gloss, hardness, body, adhesion and resistance to yellowing.</li><li>Provides good pigment wetting and good heat resistance.</li>
<li>Offers compatibility with alkyd resins, cellulose nitrate, cellulose acetobutyrate, vinyl chloride copolymers, chlorinated rubber and hydroxypolyacrylates.</li>
<li>It is also compatible with melamine-formaldehyde resins, aromatic & aliphatic epoxy resins, hydrocarbon resins and phthalate plasticizers.</li>
<li>Exhibits promotes the natural grain & color of wood, good elasticity and excellent toughness.</li>
<li>Laropal® A 81 is used in automotive OEM, general metal and industrial coatings.</li></ul> Laropal® A-8L by BASF is a condensation product from urea & aliphatic aldehydes, 80% solution in 1-methoxy 2-propylacetate (MPA). It shows good pigment & substrate wetting, low solution viscosity and no yellowing. It is compatible with cellulose nitrate, ethyl cellulose, cellulose acetobutyrate, chlorinated rubber and VC copolymers. It is suitable for acrylic resins, urea-formaldehyde resins, melamine-formaldehyde resins, alkyd resins, epoxy resins and hydrocarbon resins. It can be used for the manufacture of pigment pastes with a high pigment- and low VOC-content. It is designed for use in many types of solvent-based coating formulations and automotive, industrial and wood coatings. It exhibits excellent weather resistance and stability to heat. It is recommended for baking finishes neither causing odor nor discoloration and for outdoor applications & bright color shades. The shelf life of Laropal® A-8L is 12 months.
