Laroflex® MP 45 by BASF is a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl isobutyl ether. It is a low viscosity, non-hydrolyzable, chlorinated binders for physically drying paints. It shows compatibility with alkyd-acrylic resins, hydrocarbon resins, cyclohexanone aldehyde resin. It provides excellent corrosion protection- and solubility. Laroflex® MP 45 is used for coatings on galvanized steel and aluminum, mineral substrate and flame retardant. It is also used in anti-corrosion-, road marking paints, machinery, automotive and container finishes. Laroflex® MP 25 by BASF is a hydrolysis-resistant chlorinated binder. It is compatible with most alkyd resins, drying oils, polyacrylic resins, liquid epoxy resins, tars, and bitumens. It offers broad solvent compatibility, good compatibility with coating raw materials, high pigment binding capacity at high solids, and unrestricted pigment and extender selection. <br>

It can be applied using common coating techniques without cobwebbing, even at high solids, and their thermal stability allows force drying. </li>
<li>It provides strong adhesion to iron, steel, and existing coating systems, together with good intercoat adhesion. </li>
<li>It exhibits resistance to aqueous alkalis, acids, salt solutions, water, humidity fluctuations, low and cyclic temperatures, chalking, and yellowing. </li>

Used as a binder in paints for iron and steel structures, mineral substrates, plastics, shipbuilding and underwater applications, mechanical and automotive engineering, transportation, protection of buildings and in printing inks industry and road marking paints. Offers compatibility with vinyl chloride copolymers, polyacrylates, unsaturated polyester resins, maleate resins, cyclohexanone resins, aldehyde resins, coumarone and hydrocarbon resins. Laroflex® MP 60 is also compatible with urea resins, alkyd resins modified by oils and fatty acids, natural resins, drying oils, plasticizers, tars and bitumen. Provides resistance to hydrolysis.
