ACumist® A-18

ACumist® A-18 by Solstice Advanced Materials is a micronized oxidized polyethylene homopolymer. Use in paper coatings to improve anti-blocking, slip and release. Provides outstanding abrasion resistance and toughness. It offers excellent matting without burnishing and reduced coefficient of friction. Due to its high density it provides excellent anti-settling and anti-floating properties. It is highly compatible with aqueous-based systems and do not contribute to foaming. It is insoluble in solvents and UV-based monomers and oligomers at room temperature. Used in water-based coatings, flexographic and gravure inks and overprint varnishes. ACumist® A-18 has also found use as an external lubricant.
