ACumist® B-18 by Solstice Advanced Materials is a large particle size, highest performing micronized polyethylene homopolymer. It is suitable for use in solvent borne coatings, stains, lacquers. It is insoluble in solvents and UV based monomers and oligomers at room temperature. It improves sandability of coating primers. ACumist® B-18 is FDA approved. ACumist® B-12 by Solstice Advanced Materials is a micronized polyethylene homopolymer for use in solvent borne coatings, stains & lacquers, and solvent based flexographic inks. Provides excellent abrasion resistance, good slip, blocking resistance and minimal gloss reduction. It has an average particle size from about 4 to 17 microns. ACumist® B-12 is insoluble in solvents, UV-based monomers and oligomers at room temperature. ACumist® 1528 by Solstice Advanced Materials is a micronized amide modified polyethylene homopolymer. This material provides matting with clarity, a soft silky feel and sandability in wood coatings. It improves surface slip, release and scratch resistance in a wide range of aqueous and non-aqueous coatings. In powder coatings, it also improves de-gassing properties. ACumist® 1528 can be easily incorporated into coatings with moderate agitation. ACumist® P-5 by Solstice Advanced Materials is a micronized polypropylene homopolymer. Provides high coefficient of friction and good matting properties. Offers excellent resistance to blocking, mar, abrasion, rub and scratch. It has an average particle size of 5-6 microns and a maximum particle size of 16 microns. ACumist® P-5 is insoluble in solvents-, UV-based monomers and oligomers at room temperature. Used in UV-curable, non-slip and non-skid applications for thin-film, solvent-based inks and coatings. ACumist® A-18 by Solstice Advanced Materials is a micronized oxidized polyethylene homopolymer. Use in paper coatings to improve anti-blocking, slip and release. Provides outstanding abrasion resistance and toughness. It offers excellent matting without burnishing and reduced coefficient of friction. Due to its high density it provides excellent anti-settling and anti-floating properties. It is highly compatible with aqueous-based systems and do not contribute to foaming. It is insoluble in solvents and UV-based monomers and oligomers at room temperature. Used in water-based coatings, flexographic and gravure inks and overprint varnishes. ACumist® A-18 has also found use as an external lubricant. ACumist® P-20 by Honeywell is a micronized polypropylene homopolymer. Provides excellent abrasion resistance, high coefficient of friction and good matting properties. ACumist® P-20 has an average particle size of 18-22 microns and a maximum particle size of 88 microns. It is insoluble in solvents-, UV-based monomers and oligomers at room temperature. Used in UV-curable as well as non-skid coatings and inks. ACumist® 3405 by Honeywell is a micronized PTFE-modified polyethylene homopolymer. It has a high molecular weight. Provides excellent abrasion resistance, outstanding slip and excellent scratch resistance. ACumist® 3405 is used in high-gloss and general-purpose solvent-borne, UV/EB cured coatings, stains, lacquers, lithographic and solvent-based flexographic inks. ACumist® 3205B by Honeywell is a micronized PTFE-modified polyethylene homopolymer with high molecular weight. Used in high-gloss and general-purpose solvent-borne, UV/EB cured coatings, stains, lacquers, lithographic and solvent-based flexographic inks. ACumist® 3205B provides excellent abrasion resistance, excellent slip and blocking resistance. ACumist® B-6 is a micronized polyethylene homopolymer by Honeywell. Designed for use in general purpose and high gloss solvent-borne & UV/EB cured coatings, can & container coatings, solvent-based gravure-, flexographic- and generally liquid inks. It is especially useful for improving slip and rub in inks. ACumist® B-6 provides excellent abrasion resistance, blocking resistance and minimal gloss reduction. It has an average particle sizes from about 4 to 17 microns. It is insoluble in solvents, UV-based monomers and oligomers at room temperature. ACumist® 1863 by Honeywell is a polypropylene-maleic anhydride copolymer. It was designed to exhibit unique physical properties required for surface modifications in inks and coatings. ACumist® 1863 is suitable for solvent, water, and powder coating applications. It complies with the compositional requirements of FDA titled 21, section of 175.105.
