Sillikolloid® P 87 puriss by Hoffmann Mineral acts as a functional filler. It is a natural combination of corpuscular silica and lamellar kaolinite. It can be used on its own or combined with other extenders or flatting agents. It is quick-drying and exhibits good pigment dispersion with spacer effect. It offers a high filling ratio, good wet edge strength and breathability.
  • It possesses high solids content, abrasion resistance, yield point and pseudoplasticity.
  • Sillikolloid® P 87 puriss achieves good transparency with a low yellow tinge in unpigmented coatings.
  • Suitable for primers & fillers (also for automobile industry), varnishes, exterior & interior emulsion-, silicate- & industrial paints, and wood-, foil- & anti-corrosion coatings.
  • It is weathering- & scratch-resistant and has very soft sediment, very low- abrasiveness & tendency to settle.
  • As compared to Sillikolloid® P 87, it has very low coating thickness and extremely low sieving residue.
  • It is also used in solvent-based-, solvent-free- & water-based systems, solder resist inks as well as electrophoretic-, metal (primer-surfacer)-, powder- and plastic coatings.
  • It complies with the standards on basis foodstuffs of the BfR and FDA.
  • The recommended metering level is up to 50% depending on the intended application.
