Coating ingredients for Marine / Anti-Corrosive / Protective Coatings

Chroma-chem® 897-5500 distributed by DKSH is a green-colored pigment dispersion. Provides broader color space, excellent durability, chemical resistance and light fastness. It is APE free with low VOC.

Chroma-chem® 844-2852 distributed by DKSH is a high performance, non-aqueous organic yellow pigment. It is dispersed in a proprietary acrylic resin vehicle that provides excellent wetting and dispersing properties superior to other acrylic resins available.

• It contains a carefully selected and unique blend of vehicle, solvent, pigment and additives to yield acceptance in a wide range of non-aqueous coatings applications.
• Designed to minimize the dispersing resin and additive levels.

ETERSOL 11362 distributed by DKSH is a cost-effective one-component aqueous styrene-acrylic emulsion that does not contain APEO. It offers very good gloss and fullness to the paint film. It provides excellent weather-, smoke-, initial water- and salt spray resistance, fast drying speed and metal adhesion.

• It can be used as a general decorative protective coating for primer, intermediate coating, topcoat and bottom.
• It is recommended for light anti-corrosion coating of general steel structures.

DAOTAN® VTW 1250/40WA by allnex is an aromatic, low VOC, polyurethane-dispersion modified with drying fatty acids. It is used as a sole binder for corrosion protection systems. It offers rapid dry and good compatibility with acrylic dispersions. DAOTAN® VTW 1250/40WA is used mostly for the production of fast drying anti-corrosive primer.

IZASP 151 distributed by DKSH is a low-viscosity, solventborne liquid co-reactant. Its amino-functional properties allow it to react with a wide range of polyisocyanates and prepolymers, making it a versatile and valuable ingredient in the coatings industry.

• It is used in the formulation of high-solids, two-component polyurethane topcoats, anti-corrosive paints, industrial paints, floor paints, marine paints & varnishes, furniture varnish, parquet varnish and solvent-free coating materials.
• IZASP 151 has a shelf life of 1 year.

Pripol™ 1040 by Cargill is a trimer acid rich building block. It provides excellent hydrophobicity and shows excellent compatibility with other low-polarity materials.

• It offers enhanced flexibility even at low temperatures, which allows the product to deform under stress and prevents cracking of the coating.
• It exhibits excellent protective properties and good pigment wetting allowing a high loading of pigment/fillers.
• It allows exposure to high humid environments.
• It is recommended for high performance industrial-, marine and protective coatings.

Pripol™ 1017 by Cargill is a high purity, dimer acid building block. It is designed for epoxy, polyurethane, polyester and polyamide coatings. It exhibits adhesion, pigment wetting and compatibility.

• It offers flexibility which allows product to deform under stress and prevents cracking.
• It can also be used in conjunction with flexible substrates.
• It provides hydrophobicity/water repellency for excellent sealant and protective properties.
• It shows low glass transition temperature for polymers with flexibility down to low temperatures.
• It also brings longer lifetime which allows for exposure to humid conditions.

B-Tough™ C2r by Cargill is a VOC-free, reactive epoxy functional toughening agent. It is a low viscous, non-migratory additive which is easy to handle and to formulate with. It offers good chemical resistance and excellent impact resistance, while absorbing mechanical stress without impacting hardness.

• It allows for the formulation of zero to low VOC epoxy coatings with the flexibility of a solid epoxy (1001 type) resin-based system and the hardness of a liquid epoxy (828 type) resin-based system.
• B-Tough™ C2r is suitable for indoor floor-, industrial-, marine and protective coatings.

Pripol™ 1013 by Cargill is a distilled dimer acid with high purity and high difunctionality. It is designed for epoxy, polyurethane, polyester and polyamide coatings.

• It is used in UV-printing inks, aerosol, marine & container coatings, primers, impregnations, exterior house-, masonry- and road marking paints.
It is blendable with alcohol and possesses good adhesion to various substrates such as plastics, paper, textiles and metal.
• It is also designed for penetrating primers, concrete- and protective coatings.
• It is compatible with most PVC copolymers, PS, PC, PMMA, ABS, ester-soluble nitrocellulose, chlorinated rubber, plasticizer, cellulose acetobutyrates/ acetopropionate and partly compatible with alkyd and epoxy ester resins.
