Foam Blast® 4201

Foam Blast® 4201 by DyStar is a VOC-free, 35% active organo-modified silicone defoamer. It contains no solvents, particulates or petroleum-based additives and does not swell in polymer print plates. It shows stability under high shear and does not reduce gloss in semi & high gloss formulations.

• It ages well in inks, maintaining its effectiveness over a long period of time.
• Foam Blast® 4201 is recommended for low-VOC architectural coatings, water-based industrial coatings, water-based flexo & gravure inks, and clear industrial & graphic arts applications.
• It is suitable for clear & pigmented aqueous systems and dispersions that contain suspended particles such as pigment grinds.
• The recommended dosage level is 0.2-0.5% for general, 0.2-0.6% for inks, and 2-4 pounds per 100 gallons of coatings.
