Foam Blast® 338 by DyStar is a cost effective, synthetic polyol-based, non-silicone, non-mineral oil, 100% active defoamer. It is recommended for waterborne polymer systems in inks and industrial coatings. It has a hydrophobe that minimizes and eliminates many of the unwanted side effects associated with mineral oil-based defoamers, such as swelling of rubber rollers or polymer print plates, high use levels, etc.
- It is recommended for water-based flexo & gravure inks.
- It is suitable for PVAc emulsions and polyvinyl alcohol solutions.
- It meets the current requirements of FDA 21 CFR 175.105, 175.300, 176.170, 176.180, 176.200, 176.210 for use in food contact applications.
- The dosage level of Foam Blast® 338 is 0.05 to 0.5% for inks and coatings and 0.3 to 2.0 % for PVAc and PVOH.
