Based on 905 products - Last update on the Jun 26, 2025

Catalysts are available in liquid or solid form, depending on their composition and intended use. Their key features include controlled reactivity, improved hardness, and enhanced resistance to environmental factors. They are widely used in automotive, industrial, and protective coatings.

Common subtypes include acid catalysts for thermosetting coatings, metal-based catalysts for polyurethane and alkyd systems, and amine catalysts for waterborne formulations. These innovations contribute to improved sustainability and compliance with regulatory standards.

Borchi® Kat 2115

by Borchers (Milliken)

Borchi® Kat 2115 by Borchers (Milliken) is a highly reactive, tin-free catalyst designed for one- and two-component polyurethane systems and RTV silicones. It can be used to replace DBTDL (dibutyltin dilaurate), DOTL and amine-based catalysts.

It offers extended pot-life, higher final hardness, and maintains outstanding corrosion resistance.

It has no impact on achieving high gloss finishes and will not contribute to yellowing.

It ensures fast blocking stability, earlier solvent resistance and sanding capability.

It has comparable dry times to tin-free bismuth technology.

It is suitable for solvent-based and solvent-free pigmented and clear one- and two-component polyurethane.

It is used in automotive refinish, coils and polyurethane foams.

Recommended dosage level of Borchi® Kat 2115 is 0.02 to 0.15%.
