CRISTOBALEX™

CRISTOBALEX™ by Covia is a low density, ultra-white reflective filler. It is a specialty silica blend composed primarily of cristobalite (SiO₂) that is produced from high-purity spherical quartz grains at very high temperature. It offers exceptional brightness, cleaner colors, superior UV resistance, high performance and efficiency.

• It is different from the silica polymorph of quartz due to its crystal structure.
• It provides titanium dioxide extension, particularly in high film build coatings.
• CRISTOBALEX™ is suitable for energy-efficient roofing systems, architectural coatings, exterior insulation finishing systems (EIFS), airstrips and road marking paints.
• It meets stringent standards for weathering durability, solar reflectivity, whiteness and opacity.
• It complies with the requirements of ASTM D6083-Type II for cool elastomeric roofs.
