Zonyl™ MP 1200

Zonyl™ MP 1200 is a PTFE powder. Acts as additive in other materials or as a dry lubricant. It can be used at temperatures from –190°C to 250°C (–310°F to 480°F) and is inert to nearly all industrial chemicals and solvents. It is a good electrical insulator, does not absorb water, and is highly resistant to weathering. It helps impart low surface energy, non-stick and antifriction properties, performance in lubricants under severe conditions. Zonyl™ MP 1200 improves certain properties, such as rub and slip resistance. It is used in combination with polyethylene waxes to obtain the desired degree of property modification. It provides improvements in corrosion inhibition, gloss and surface smoothness, reduces wettability and “blocking” in inks. Suitable for the preparation of offset, gravure, and flexographic printing inks and for coatings.
