NECOWEL 5286

NECOWEL 5286 by ASK Chemicals is a cosolvent-free, aliphatic PU (polyurethane)-modified alkyd emulsion with medium oil length. Does not contain APEO (alkylphenol ethoxylates), VOC (volatile organic compound) and SVOC (semivolatile organic compounds). The emulsion is neutralized with ammonia. Offers outstanding drying properties and good weather- and yellowing resistance. At drying temperatures below 40°C a loss of gloss is possible which can be avoided by forced drying or addition of solvents (1-2% butylglycol).Suitable for air- & forced drying top coats, e.g. for agricultural equipment. Lacquers formed show good adhesion on metal- and plastic substrates. Applications of NECOWEL 5286 include industrial coatings, machinery lacquers, top coats, single layer systems, wood lacquers and structured coatings.
