These systems produce ambient curing high performance coatings. Laboratory testing indicates excellent resistance to salt spray, water soak and humidity. It contributes easy brushing and provides excellent durability, flow and leveling. It exhibits good toughness & flexibility combined with excellent gloss and gloss retention. It shows good compatibility with alkyds and raw or bodied vegetable oils. SETAL® 11-2660 is recommended for farm equipment, machinery and implement enamels. It is suitable for industrial maintenance & shop coats and floor finishes. It meets the basic requirements of Federal Specification TT-R-266, Type III but is in a slower solvent blend. It has a shelf life of 2 years. It is delivered as 50.0% non-volatile in mineral spirits/Aromatic 100.

SETAL® 21-1494 by allnex is a high solids chain-stopped soybean oil alkyd for use in the manufacture of coatings that must comply with VOC levels 3.5 lb/gal or lower. Coatings based upon this resin are characterized by fast cure response, high specular gloss, good hardness, adhesion, chemical resistance and good color retention. It reduces rapidly with aromatic or oxygenated solvents to provide low VOC paint requirements. This resin is compatible with other film formers such as thermoplastic acrylics, solution vinyl resins, selected alkyds such as SETAL® 21-1482 and high solids urea and melamine formaldehyde resins. It is recommended for industrial air-dry, force-dry and bake enamels for metal, automotive and rail car refinish enamels and agricultural equipment. SETAL® 21-1494 is stable for 1 year at temperatures up to 100°F.
