ACURE™ 500

ACURE™ 500 by allnex is a blocked catalyst used in ACURE systems. It consists of a strong base which is blocked with di-ethyl carbonate. It unblocks with the release of alcohol and carbondioxide and is the key enabler to the provision of fast dry times with long pot lives in ACURE coatings.

• It is a clear, low viscosity liquid and is compatible with solventborne systems.
• It harness the high reactivity of Michael Addition enabling paint formulators to design two-component coatings.
• It offers high gloss potential along with excellent abrasion resistance.
• It possesses attractive labelling and low odor.
• It is non-intended isocyanate formulation with low or zero VOC content, designed to reduce energy consumption and incorporate bio-based materials.
• ACURE™ 500 is recommended for ACURE based paints, durable coatings for a variety of markets including marine & protective, agricultural, construction, rail and aerospace markets, flooring decorative and wood coatings.
• It has a shelf life of 1 year.
