Polyimide (PI) Resins for Coatings and Inks

RESISTHERM® AI 244 L by allnex is polyamide imide resin. It is used as a binder for the formulation of one-component baking coatings with outstanding resistance to heat and chemicals. Films produced are characterized by their hardness and extraordinary resistance to boiling water, solvents and chemicals. RESISTHERM® AI 244 L is preferably used in can coating and general industrial coating applications. It has a shelf life of 365 days.

RESISTHERM® AI 336 L by allnex is a polyamide imide resin. Exhibits outstanding resistance to heat and chemicals. It is used as a binder for the formulation of one-component baking coatings. Films produced in this manner are characterized by their hardness and extraordinary resistance to boiling water, solvents and chemicals. RESISTHERM® AI 336 L is preferably used in can coating and general industrial coating applications. It has a shelf life of 730 days at <30°C.

TY005-1 polyimide resin by Qinyang Tianyi Chemical is mainly used for surface coating of metal substrates, films and other materials. It can be diluted with organic solvents such as acetone.

HPC-2200 by Resonac (formerly Showa Denko) is NMP-free, polyamide imide resin with low toxicity. It can form the film having high insulation and solvent resistance. This product possesses high heat resistance and coating hardness. It can be diluted by adding organic solvent for solvent-based products. It can also be diluted by adding water or water-borne material for low VOC water-borne products. It is suitable for bar and spray coating methods. HPC-2200 is used in paint binders for sliding parts such as automotive compressors or engine pistons. It conforms to REACH regulations and is listed in US (TSCA), Canada (DSL), Japan (ENCS), Korea (KECL) and Taiwan.

GT-702W by Innotek Technology is a water-based polyimide resin. It has high solid content and good insulation. It is a water reducible green grade. GT-702W is suitable for insulating coatings and binder for hot oil-resistant coatings.
