HPC-5012 by Resonac (formerly Showa Denko) is a polyamide-imide resin with low toxicity. This product possesses high heat resistance and coating hardness. It can be diluted by adding organic solvent for solvent-based products. It can also be diluted by adding water or water-borne material for low VOC water-borne products. HPC-5012 can form the film having high insulation and solvent resistance. It is suitable for bar and spray coating methods. It is used in paint binders for sliding parts such as automotive compressors or engine pistons. It conforms to REACH regulations and is listed in US (TSCA), Canada (DSL), Japan (ENCS), China (IECSC), Korea (KECL) and Taiwan.
