Omyabond 120 by Omya is a low-moisture, ultrafine, natural calcium carbonate filler designed for reactive adhesives and sealants. It is a treated mineral with a high surface area. It can be used as a single component to provide a typical rheological modifier profile combined with true reinforcing properties without compromising on moisture content and moisture pick-up. Shows sag resistance, good extrusion rate, good adhesion, higher strength, elongation, good mechanical
performance, elastic recovery, and good workability. Provides low energy intensity and easy-to-disperse, cost-effective grade with low polymer content. Omyabond 120 allows moisture scavenging, process savings to avoid pre-drying and higher machine productivity. It is recommended for use in SMP (Silyl Modified Polymer) systems. It enables formulation of sealants that meet the relevant ISO standards while reducing polymer content and without impacting processing. Omyabond 420 by Omya is an ultrafine, ground calcium carbonate (GCC) filler. It exhibits excellent bond strength and mechanical properties. It offers improved storage stability, workability and ridge holding along with best cost/performance ratio. Due to its smaller particle size, Omyabond 420 provides shear thinning and excellent adhesion on wood. It is designed for moisture curing parquet adhesives such as silyl modified polymers (SMP), hybrid, silicone and polyurethanes. It does not influence viscosity upon accelerated storage, even without pre-drying the formulation. Omyabond 520 by Omya is a fine, surface treated, calcium carbonate filler. It is recommended for use in moisture reactive adhesives such as adhesives for wood flooring. Primary properties are the rheological and mechanical performance: a well pronounced shear thinning effect in order to have a good workability and defined grooves after the application of the adhesives with a groove fulfills the rheological requirements. Omyabond HP - FL renders excellent bond strength. It is produced in North America. Omyabond 520-FL by Omya is a fine, white calcium carbonate (GCC). It is designed for moisture reactive adhesives and sealants (such as PU, SMP or Silicone) in any environment. A very special production process combined with a fatty acid treatment not only result in a low powder moisture as such but also in lower moisture pick-up than standard coated grades of comparable fineness. It can be used as single filler at high filler levels which is easily dispersible and supports low modulus and good workability. Usually there is no need to pre-dry the powder, it allows to-speed up the production/mixing and cooling process and thus helps to reduce total cost.
