Mixture of 1-hydroxy-cyclohexyl-phenyl-ketone and benzophenone. Acts as a liquid mixture of two photoinitiators. This synergistic mixture allows for broader effective wavelength absorption, by free radical generation independently as well as hydrogen abstraction when exposed to UV light. Its liquid form is easily dispersible and it is compatible with amine co-initiators. Has low viscosity which aids in lower total formulation viscosity. Benacure® 500 is most effective when used in acrylated UV curable systems. It is especially suited for water based UV formulations. Benacure® 1173 by Mayzo is a photoinitiator used for the photopolymerization of UV Curable systems based on acrylic unsaturated oligomers and monomers. Very good compatibility with acrylate chemistries, exhibits low odor in cured formulations, highly reactive which initiates polymerization, good cure speed, hardness and weatherability. Benacure® 1173 can be easily incorporated in formulation to further reduce yellowing of urethane acrylates use in combination with a hindered amine light stabilizer and UV Absorber. Photoinitiator used to initiate the photopolymerization by UV or visible light of unsaturated polyesters and acrylates, in combination with mono- or multifunctional monomers.
Exhibits low odor in cured formulations, low volatility, very good cure speed and hardness. Recommended concentration in laminating adhesives: 2.0 – 4.0%. Photoinitiator used for the photopolymerization of UV Curable systems based on acrylic unsaturated oligomers and multifunctional monomers.
Very good compatibility with acrylate chemistries, allows rapid cures without yellowing, exhibits low odor in cured formulations, highly reactive which initiates polymerization, excellent cure speed, hardness and weatherability.
To further reduce yellowing of urethane acrylates for outdoor aplication use in combination with a hindered amine light stabilizer and UV Absorber. High purity, non-cleaving photoinitiator. Used to initiate free-radical polymerization by UV light of acrylates and multifunctional monomers through hydrogen attraction. Used in adhesives. Can be used in combination with tertiary amine compounds and amine acrylates to increase effectiveness. Offers very good compatibility with acrylic chemistries, good surface cure and low volatility material.
