Mixture of 1-hydroxy-cyclohexyl-phenyl-ketone and benzophenone. Acts as a liquid mixture of two photoinitiators. This synergistic mixture allows for broader effective wavelength absorption, by free radical generation independently as well as hydrogen abstraction when exposed to UV light. Its liquid form is easily dispersible and it is compatible with amine co-initiators. Has low viscosity which aids in lower total formulation viscosity. Benacure® 500 is most effective when used in acrylated UV curable systems. It is especially suited for water based UV formulations.
