Benefos® (Adhesive ingredients)

Supplied by Mayzo
Benefos® by Mayzo is a range of phosphite-type secondary antioxidants used as processing stabilizers and thermal stabilizers in adhesive and sealant formulations. Based on tris(2,4-di-tert-butylphenyl)phosphite chemistry with a molecular weight of 647 g/mol and a melting point of 183-187°C, the range is compatible with polyurethanes, elastomers, EVA, polyolefins, and styrenic polymer systems.

Key benefits of Benefos® brand include:

  • Provides excellent heat stability and antioxidation performance as a secondary phosphite antioxidant.
  • Extremely resistant to hydrolysis with low volatility, ensuring long-term stabilization efficacy.
  • Protects polymer chains from oxidative chain scission and crosslinking during melt processing.
  • Delivers synergistic performance when combined with primary phenolic antioxidants such as BNX 1010 or BNX 1076.
  • Holds extensive FDA clearances under 21 CFR for adhesives and pressure-sensitive adhesive systems.
