SpeedBlock 328

by Lambson (Sartomer)

SpeedBlock 328 by Lambson (Sartomer) is a 2-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-4,6-ditertpentylphenol. Acts as a UV absorber. Compatible with styrene homo- and co-polymers, acrylics, unsaturated polyester, polyurethane, polyvinylbutyral, polyvinylchloride, polyolefins, polyacetals and elastomers. Can be used alone or with additives such as hindered light stabilisers and antioxidants. Used in adhesives. Typical addition level of SpeedBlock 328 ranges from 0.1-1.0% depending on applications.

SpeedBlock UV-P

by Lambson (Sartomer)

SpeedBlock UV-P by Lambson (Sartomer) is a 2-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-p-cresol. Acts as a ultraviolet light absorber (UVA) OF hydroxyphenyl benzotriazole class. Imparts good light stability & UV protection to a wide variety of polymers such as styrene homo- and co-polymers, polyesters, cellulose esters, epoxy, elastomers, acrylic resins, polyurethanes, polyvinylchloride and polyacetals. It features a very strong absorption band between 300 – 400 nm and also exhibits a high degree of photo-stability over long periods of light exposure. Can be used alone or with other additives such as hindered light stabilisers and antioxidants where more often than not a synergistic performance can be observed. Used in adhesives. Typical addition level of SpeedBlock UV-P ranges from 0.1-0.5% depending on the applications.

SpeedBlock 327

by Lambson (Sartomer)

SpeedBlock 327 by Lambson (Sartomer) is a 2,4-di-tert-butyl-6-(5-chloro-2H-benzo-triazol)-phenol. Acts as a UV absorber. It has absorption bands in the 200-230nm & 300-360nm ranges. It has very low transmission of long-wavelength UV radiation. Excellent stability to heat as it has low volatility at high processing temperatures. Typical addition level of SpeedBlock 327 ranges from 0.1-1.0% depending on applications.

SpeedBlock AO2

by Lambson (Sartomer)

SpeedBlock AO2 by Lambson (Sartomer) is a tetrakis[methylene(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyhydro-cinnamate)]methane. Acts as a sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant. A non-polluting, non-toxic antioxidant with good heat and water resisting performance. It is a highly efficient and non-discoloring stabilizer for plastics, synthetic fibres, elastomers. It works by trapping free radicals formed upon heating in the presence of oxygen and prevents the change of the resins mechanical properties. It can be used in combination with other additives such as co-stabilisers (eg phosphites, phosphonites), light stabilizers (see the Speedblock product range) and other functional stabilizers. Used in adhesives. Recommended concentrations of 500 ppm to 2000 ppm of Speedblock AO2 should provide long thermal stability to the polymer. For polyolefins, use between 0.1% to 0.4% depending on substrate.

SpeedBlock 326

by Lambson (Sartomer)

SpeedBlock 326 by Lambson (Sartomer) is a 2-(5-chloro(2H)-benzotriazole-2-yl)-4-(methyl)-6-(tert-butyl)phenol. Acts as a UV absorber. Offers broad range UV protection with an absorption band width 220 nm to 400 nm. This pale yellow powder is can be used to impart light stability in plastics and other organic materials. It should be used with a HAL type light stabilizer. Compatible with acrylics, polyimides, polyesters, polyamides, polyurethane and silicones. Used in hot-melt and UV based adhesives. Typical addition level of SpeedBlock 326 ranges from 0.1-0.5% depending on applications.

SpeedBlock UV-6

by Lambson (Sartomer)

SpeedBlock UV-6 by Lambson (Sartomer) is a 2-Hydroxy-4-n-octoxybenzophenone. Acts as a benzophenone type UV absorber. It has low odor & volatility during high temperature processing. Protects by preferentially absorbing harmful ultraviolet radiation and dissipating it as thermal energy. High concentrations are generally required along with sufficient thickness of the polymer for effective absorption to retard photo degradation. This pale yellow powder is suitable for rubber based adhesives. Typical addition level of SpeedBlock UV-6 ranges from 0.1-0.5% depending on the substrate, processing conditions and applications. Used in rubber based adhesives.

SpeedBlock AO1

by Lambson (Sartomer)

SpeedBlock AO1 by Lambson (Sartomer) is a tetrakis[methylene(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyhydro-cinnamate)]methane. Acts as a sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant. A non-polluting, non-toxic antioxidant with good heat and water resisting performance. It is a highly efficient and non-discoloring stabilizer for organic substrates such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutene-1, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) resin, polystyrene resin, polyvinylchloride, engineering plastics and other petroleum products for polymerization. Recommended concentrations of 500 ppm to 2000 ppm of Speedblock AO1 should provide long thermal stability to the polymer.
