Plasthall® DBS

by Hallstar

Dibutyl sebacate. Acts as a monomeric plasticizer. It is based on sebacic acid which is a naturally occurring dicarboxylic acid made from castor beans. Compatible with nitrile and polychloroprene. Polymeric plasticizers are normally more expensive to manufacture than monomeric plasticizers, not only because of the costs of the raw materials, but because of the amounts of time it takes in the reactors to polymerize the building blocks into long-chain macromolecules. It is free-flowing and highly dispersible. It eliminates drum disposal and improves batch incorporation time, handling as well as safety. It reduces clean up time, employee exposure and waste.

Plasthall® DOSS

by Hallstar

Dioctyl sebacate substitute. Acts as the plasticizer. It is a diester based on an alcohol-dibasic acid combination. Compatible with polychloroprene. Offers the similar performance to polymers that standard dioctyl sebacate would impart.

Plasthall® DIDS

by Hallstar

Diisodecyl sebacate. Acts as a plasticizer. Compatible with polyvinyl chloride and nitrile. Offers good low temperature properties and improved permanence for a monomeric ester. It is useful for NBR and other vinyl copolymers.

Plasthall® PR-A200

by Hallstar

Polyester adipate. Acts as a highly efficient and very easy processing, as well as low viscosity polymeric plasticizer. Compatible with acrylic resins, nitrile, nitrocellulose, polymethyl methacrylate, polyvinyl chloride and vinyl chloride acetate. Has similar handleability profile to standard monomeric yet provides an improvement in the level of resistance to extraction by various media when compared to monomerics such as DOP, DINP and linear phthalates. Also offers excellent cold flex properties and compares favorably with most phthalates as well as trimellitates. Used in gaskets and automotive sealants applications.

Plasthall® S-73

by Hallstar

Epoxidized octyl tallate. Acts as a highly efficient epoxy ester plasticizer. Provides effective light and heat stability to PVC compounds. Compatible with chlorinated rubber, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, ethyl cellulose and polychloroprene. Offers performance typical of low-temperature plasticizers i.e. excellent low-temperature flexibility, high plasticizing efficiency, low viscosity, easy processing, good compatibility, and low volatility. Used in window sealant applications.

Plasthall® DOZ

by Hallstar

Dioctyl azelate. Acts as a plasticizer. It is a diester based on an alcohol-dibasic acid combination. Compatible with chlorinated rubber, ethyl cellulose, nitrile and nitrocellulose. It is utilized when the best low temperature performance is required in a PVC formulation. Offers excellent efficiency characteristics. Used in gaskets applications.

Plasthall® DOS

by Hallstar

Dioctyl sebacate. Acts as the plasticizer. Compatible with acrylic rubber, chlorinated rubber, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, EPDM, ethyl cellulose, fluoroelastomers, hydrogenated nitrile, nitrocellulose, polychloroprene and polyvinyl chloride. Imparts both excellent low temperature flexibility and reasonably good volatility resistance. Offers good extraction resistance in distilled and soapy water solutions. It finds utility in applications requiring excellent low temperature properties but greater extraction resistance than Plasthall® DOS can offer. Used in gaskets applications.

Plasthall® DOA

by Hallstar

Dioctyl adipate. Acts as a highly efficient monomeric ester plasticizer. The compounds plasticized with it shows very good heat and light stability. Compatible with cellulose acetate butyrate, chlorinated rubber, ethyl cellulose, polychloroprene, polyvinyl butyral, polyvinyl chloride, nitrile and nitrocellulose. Plasthall® DOA is chemically the same as Monoplex® DOA but with looser specifications on color and acid value. Imparts excellent low-temperature flexibility to compounds. In plastisols, it offers low initial viscosity and excellent viscosity stability.

Plasthall® DOTP

by Hallstar

Dioctyl terephthalate. Acts as a plasticizer. It is a highly permanent monomeric phthalate. Compatible with EPDM, epichlorohydrin, ethyl cellulose, polyvinyl chloride, nitrile and nitrocellulose. Due to the higher molecular weight of Plasthall® DOTP, efficiency and low-temperature properties are compromised. It finds utility where particular permanence requirements must be met, for example, in distilled water and humid environments. Used in the gaskets applications.

Plasthall® 503

by Hallstar

n-Butyl tallate. Acts as a monoester plasticizer. Compatible with chlorosulfonated polyethylene and natural rubber. In polychloroprene it retards the cure. It yields good low temperature flexibility. Used in gaskets applications.
