Akrosperse® Resorcinol-40/NR/s by Akrochem is a polymeric dispersion of resorcinol (1,3-Dihydroxybenzene). It is used with hexamethylenetetramine (HMT) or methylene donors along with silica for rubber-to-fabric adhesion. It eliminates any irritating dust, as well as other potential hazards in handling powders in the plant. Recommended dosage for fabric adhesion is 2.4 phr active resorcinol along with 1.6 phr active HMT. Akrosperse® W-10003 by Akrochem is a thermoplastic terpene-phenolic resin-based tackifier. It is primary used for the enhancement of tack in aqueous systems and in contact adhesives. It is compatible with high pH polychloroprene latices. It can be blended with other elastomer latices which have a high pH without coagulation. Akrosperse® W-10003 is recommended for use with zinc oxide and an antioxidant. The use of heat can also improve the bonding process. Akrosperse® W-10104 by Akrochem is a thermoplastic terpene-phenolic resin-based tackifier. It is an aqueous dispersion primarily used for enhancing tack in water-based adhesive systems. It is developed for use with carboxylated polychloroprene latices. Akrosperse® W-10104 can be blended with latices that are neutral without any pH adulteration; e.g., carboxylated nitrile rubber latices and acrylic latices. Recommended for use with zinc oxide and an antioxidant. The use of heat can also improve the bonding process. Non-ionic aqueous alkylphenolic resin primarily used in solvent borne contact adhesives. Formulated for use with carboxylated polychloroprene latices. Can also be used with carboxylated nitrile rubber and acrylic latices. (Can be blended with latices which are neutral without any pH adulteration).
Recommended for use with zinc oxide and an antioxidant. Best results will be noted where pressure can be applied to the assembled pieces after coating with adhesive. The use of heat can also improve the bonding process. Open time : up to 45 minutes.
