Durez® 31399 by Sumitomo Bakelite is a thermoplastic alkyl phenolic resin. Acts as a rubber tackifier designed to provide good initial tack and tack retention. It also acts as a plasticizer and processing aid. Compatible with synthetic elastomers including SBR, EPDM and butyl rubber. It is soluble in most rubber solvents. Durez® 31399 is recommended to be used in adhesive applications like tread splicing cement and pressure sensitive adhesives. It has a shelf life of 12 months.
