A-C® 617

Supplied bySolstice Advanced Materials- Last Updated on Aug 31, 2023

A-C® 617 by Honeywell acts as an adhesion promoter and lubricant. It is low density polyethylene (LDPE) homopolymer grade. It is designed for use as a viscosity diluent in hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesives. It is compatible with ethylene vinyl acetate. It is recommended for bookbinding, packaging, wood-working, tapes & labels, compounding and pipe. It increases heat resistance, lower application temperature, prevent oil migration and reduce processing time. It can also be partially substituted for fisher tropsch (FT) wax in adhesive applications without detracting from formulation properties. It is applied as a paraffin crystal nucleator in wax blends such as candles. It is used as a dispersing agent in color masterbatch applications. A-C® 617 complies with IECSC, KECI, NZIoC and FDA indirect food additive regulations approved grade.
