Adhesive ingredients for Labels / Signs / Decals

Cardolite® NX-2026 is a high purity cardanol, bio-based diluent, resin modifier, and accelerator designed for use in adhesives and sealants. It is based on natural, renewable, non-food raw material feedstock. Exhibits very low viscosity, low volatility, excellent water resistance and corrosion protection originating from its chemical structure, long hydrophobic aliphatic chain and aromatic ring. Cardolite® NX-2026 is suitable to be used as a diluent and an accelerator for epoxy adhesives and an isocyanate blocking agent. In adhesive formulation, Cardolite® NX-2026 can improve workability by reducing viscosity and help to achieve fast cure in solvent free formulations. It is recommended for 2K Epoxy adhesives, pressure sensitive adhesive, hot melt adhesives for fabric lamination, 1K/2K epoxy-PU hybrid adhesive, wood/ paper adhesives and industrial adhesive applications. The recommended use level of the product is <20% of total resin weight.

Crilat® P 2776 by Vinavil is an APEO-free, ready-to-use, acrylic water-borne dispersion. Provides high adhesion even at low temperatures, a medium cohesion and good PVC plasticizer migration resistance. Offers medium shear and good mechanical stability. Suitable for pressure sensitive adhesives applications. It is used for plastic film labels and double side tapes. Crilat® P 2776 has a shelf life of 6 months.

Crilat® P 2744 by Vinavil is an APEO-free, ready-to-use, acrylic water-borne dispersion specifically designed for the production of self-adhesive stickers. It contains surfactants as emulsifying system. Shows good tack, medium adhesion, high cohesion and outstanding PVC plasticizer migration resistance. Provides good mechanical stability. Suitable for pressure sensitive adhesives applications. It is mainly used for paper & filmic labels, specialty tapes and repositionable labels. Crilat® P 2744 has a shelf life of 6 months.

Crilat® 2951 L by Vinavil is an aqueous APEO-free, alkali soluble emulsion acrylic polymer. Provides excellent mechanical stability. Suitable as raw material in the labelling adhesives, DIY stick glues and ceramic manufacturing. Crilat® 2951 L has a shelf life of 6 months.

Crilat® 2954 L by Vinavil is an APEO-free, alkali soluble emulsion acrylic polymer. Shows a high iced and condensed water resistance when neutralized in ammonia solution. Provides excellent mechanical stability. Suitable as raw material in the labelling adhesives, DIY stick glues and ceramic manufacturing. Crilat® 2954 L has a shelf life of 6 months.

Crilat® 2440 by Vinavil is an APEO-free acrylic copolymer aqueous dispersion with self-adhesive properties. Provides high solid content, good resistance to mechanical shear and good mechanical stability. Offers high adhesion even at low temperatures, good cohesion and excellent tack. Suitable for pressure sensitive adhesives applications and manufacturing of compounds for paper labels. Crilat® 2440 has a shelf life of 6 months.

FORAL™ 85-E Ester of Hydrogenated Rosin by Synthomer is a pale, thermoplastic ester resin derived from glycerol and a highly stabilized rosin. Offers advantages as the tackifier or modifier resin in various adhesives compositions. Exhibit light color, low odor with resistance to oxidation and to discoloration caused by heat and aging.

• It has a high degree of color retention, oxidation resistance, medium softening point and exceptional cutaneous tolerance.
• FORAL™ 85-E Ester of Hydrogenated Rosin is also used in UV cured acrylics to improve adhesion to low surface energy substrates.
• It shows compatibility with natural-, synthetic- and chlorinated rubber, ethylcellulose, EVA copolymers, low molecular weight polyethylene, SIS and SBS block copolymers, APAO, acrylic resins, polyamide resins, polyurethane compounds and with PVP, polyvinylbutyral, nitrocellulose, drying oils and alkyd resins.
• Recommended for caulks and sealants, labels, roofing, specialty tapes, assembly, hygiene adhesives, packaging and other adhesive applications.

Solprene® 4301 by Dynasol is a BHT/TNPP-free linear block copolymer of styrene and butadiene. This gel-free grade has a non-staining antioxidant system. It provides high resistance to stress and very good cohesive strength-tack balance. Solprene® 4301 is recommended for use in solvent-based-, hot-melt- and pressure sensitive adhesives. It is suitable for labels and footwear. This grade is FDA approved for use in food contact applications.

FORALYN™ 5020-F Ester of Hydrogenated Rosin by Synthomer is methyl ester of hydrogenated rosin, used as a tackifier. Possesses exceptional cutaneous tolerance and excellent aging characteristics.

• Exhibits low color, low odor, wide solubility and compatibility range.
• It acts an excellent fixative.
• Compatible with nitrocellulose, ethylcellulose, chlorinated rubber, PVC, vinyl acetate-chloride copolymers and polyvinyl ethers.
• It is also compatible with water-soluble film-formers as casein and starch, natural and synthetic resins and rubber, asphalt, and waxes.
• FORALYN™ 5020-F Ester of Hydrogenated Rosin is incompatible with cellulose acetate and polyvinyl acetate.
• Recommended for caulks and sealants, assembly, packaging specialty, packaging, labels, roofing, specialty tapes, tapes and other adhesive applications.

PICCOTAC™ 1095 Hydrocarbon Resin by Synthomer is an aliphatic low molecular weight C5 tackifier. Exhibits, light color, low odor, excellent thermal stability, excellent color stability with excellent peel and tack properties.

• It shows excellent adhesion in formulations with styrene-isoprene styrene (SIS) block copolymer.
• It is stabilized by addition of antioxidant.
• PICCOTAC™ 1095 Hydrocarbon Resin shows compatibility with natural and synthetic rubbers, low-vinyl acetate EVA copolymers, EnBA copolymers, APAO, SIS-, SIBS-, SEBS- and SEPS block copolymers, polyethylene polymers, polypropylene polymers, paraffin and microcrystalline waxes, PIB, OBC, mPE, mPP, and TPE.
