Adhesion Promoters / Bonding Agents

Based on 756 products - Last update on the Jul 8, 2025

Adhesion promoters appear as clear liquids that integrate invisibly into adhesive formulations or function as primers. Key features include ability to bond dissimilar materials, improved moisture resistance of adhesive interfaces, and enhanced long-term durability. Adhesion promoters are essential for plastic bonding, metal assembly, and outdoor applications.

Common types include silanes, titanates providing, zirconates, phosphonates, and polymeric adhesion promoters. Recent innovations focus on water-dispersible versions reducing VOC content in adhesive formulations addressing environmental regulations and the development of more versatile promoters compatible with multiple substrate types.

ORTEGOL® AP 100

by Evonik

ORTEGOL® AP 100 by Evonik is an adhesion promoter ideally suited to use in 2K PU systems. It provides excellent adhesion to metal, plastic surfaces and works well in both foamed and compact PU systems. It is ideally suited to use in EV battery potting applications. The technical requirements for such potting materials typically include efficient filling, high adhesion, low density, high mechanical stabilization and elastic properties. ORTEGOL® AP 100 can be formulated into the polyol component or dosed as a separate component prior to application and also it is long-term stable and does not adversely affect the shelf life of the formulation.
