Unilin™ 425 alcohol

Unilin™ 425 alcohol by NuCera Solutions (Chase) is a fully saturated, long chain, linear primary alcohol. Acts as an adhesion promoter used in adhesives and sealants. Possesses higher molecular weight, greater crystallinity, and higher purity with an 80% primary alcohol concentration. Offers carbon chains lengths longer than those of conventional fatty acids. As a result, it offers higher melt points and hardness with improved compatibility in polyolefin as well as hydrocarbon-based systems. Compatible with polar polymers and reacts to form derivatives. Unilin™ 425 alcohol improves the compatibility with hydrocarbons, controls the melting point and lowers the melt viscosity.
