Unicid™ 550 acid by NuCera Solutions (Chase) is a long chain, 80% linear primary carboxylic acid. Used as an adhesion promoter in adhesives and sealants applications. Compatible with functional/polar polymers and increases the adhesion to polar surfaces. It disperses in water, acts as co-emulsifier in anionic systems and reacts to create unique derivatives. It lessens the odor and volatility, forms films in water-in-oil emulsions as well as controls the melting/softening point. Offers higher melt points and hardness with improved compatibility in polyolefin as well as hydrocarbon based systems. Unicid™ 550 acid acid shows fast migration in polymer systems and flows readily at temperatures just slightly greater than melting point.
Ceramer™ 1251 polymer by NuCera Solutions (Chase) is grafted maleic anhydride derivative onto hydrocarbon polymer-based adhesion promoter. It possesses a high degree of functionality, long polymeric backbone and polar & non-polar segments. It disperses in water and reacts to form derivatives. Ceramer™ 1251 polymer improves solvent and water resistance. It compatibilizes the polar and non-polar resins, waxes and additives.
