SBR 1009AF by Lion Elastomers is a highly crosslinked styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) terpolymer. It is produced via hot polymerization using a fatty acid emulsifier.
  • Offers improved bonding strength to a variety of substrates including sheet metal, fabrics, wood, plastics, insulation, foam, cardboard, paper, films, laminates, gaskets, labels, glass, pallets, textile and carpets.
  • It is best suited for lightweight bonding application at temperatures below 180 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • It dries quickly, boasts a fast and aggressive tack & static shear strength, provides a long lasting bond and yields a smooth film, free of cobwebs when dried.
  • SBR 1009AF is more cost-effective than acrylic based adhesives and provides adhesion on tough surfaces than SBS at similar costs.
  • Compatible with propellants such asdimethoxyethane (DME) and 1,1 difluoroethane.
  • Primary applications include fine mist-type sprayable adhesives.
  • It can also be used for pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA) and sealants.
  • Recommended dosage ranges between 10% and 30% of the total rubber hydrocarbon content of a formulation.
