D-1701 by HUBEI BLUESKY NEW MATERIALS acts as a crosslinking agent. It is a blend of methyltriacetoxysilane and propyltriacetoxysilane. It readily hydrolyzes upon contact with moisture. It can be used alone or in combination with other acetoxysilanes to provide the sealant with the desired cure rate and adhesion. After curing, the parent silane becomes crosslinked into a silicone rubber matrix. It is soluble in acetic anhydride. D-1701 is used in industrial and consumer sealants or adhesives.
