Desmocap® 12A by Covestro is a linear aromatic urethane polymer with ether groups. Acts as plasticizer used in combinations of epoxy resins with it may cause turbidity in the cured products. This can be avoided by accelerating the epoxy/polyamine reaction with levepox accelerator K 10. It may be used in combination with Desmocap® 11A to produce membranes and sealants. Used in various industrial applications like construction, housing, footwear and flooring. Epoxy resins modified with Desmocap® 12A are characterized by high flexibility, reduction of the glass transition range and improved adhesion. It has a shelf life of six months.
