VINNEX® 2501 by Wacker is a vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer which acts as an impact modifier. Exhibits enhanced flexibility, improved performance in film sealing, improved compatibility with other biopolymers and improved compatibility with polar fillers. Has improved stiffness without affecting biodegradability. It increases impact and melt strength & therefore improves processability (e.g. cutting, removing from reel, separation of film). VINNEX® 2501 suitable for extrusion (Sheet & blown film), injection molding, calendaring and thermoforming. Used in cutlery, packaging (boxes, bags, foams), mulch films, office supplies (pens), toys and household wares. Also used in medical applications, disposable tableware & cups and non-woven fabric. VINNEX® 2523 by Wacker is vinyl acetate. Acts as an impact modifier. Exhibits enhanced flexibility, higher mechanical toughness & optimized crystallinity and enables film blowing with PHB. It has increased melt strength, improved processability, reduced noise of PLA films, maintained transparency, good performance in film sealing and improved adhesion to paper. It does not show reduction in hardness or modulus and enables improved stiffness without affecting biodegradability. It improves the mechanical properties and the processing performance of biopolyesters such as PLA and PLA/PBAT blends in the extrusion coating of paper. It is a better substitute for conventional LDPE. It is ideal for improving heat sealing properties. It can significantly increase the tack of the coating, thereby enabling a smooth, fast production process. It is used in film-coated paper cups. Its recommended use level is 5-10%. VINNEX® 2522 can be used in food contact applications according to EU regulations for Food Contact and the US Food and Drug administration (§175.105, §175.300, §176.170 and §176.180).
