POLYBOND® 3009 polymer modifier by SI Group acts as a coupling agent for glass-filled- and mineral filled polyethylene. This additive offers improved strength and impact & physical properties. POLYBOND® 3009 polymer modifier provides low gel count making it ideal to be used in sheet & film applications. It is used as a compatibilizer for polyethylene/polyamide blends giving enhanced hydrolytic stability. It is FDA approved. POLYBOND® 3029 polymer modifier by SI Group is used as a coupling agent in wood polyethylene composites where reduced water uptake and higher strength properties are required. Also used for glass-filled polyethylene and PE composites with high mineral filler levels. It provides improved physical properties, strength and impact properties. POLYBOND® 3029 polymer modifier functions as a processing aid for halogen-free, flame retardant (HFFR) wire & cable compounds which gives improved dispersion of flame retardant and improved mechanical properties. This additive offers moderate coupling efficiency and melt flow rate allowing use with processing equipment which does not have low feed rate capability. It is FDA approved.
