Mercapto-silane treated precipitated silica. Acts as a reinforcing filler. Provides greater rubber reinforcement compared to untreated silica fillers. Imparts improved abrasion resistance, tensile strength and modulus. Exhibits low heat build-up, low rolling resistance and low viscosity. Compatible with NR, BR. Recommended for tire treads, engine mount, conveyer belt, sporting goods.
Ciptane™ I by PPG Industries is treated with 3% by weight mercapto-silane precipitated slica. It acts as a reinforcing filler and is in low dusting pellet form. It provides greater rubber reinforcement compared to untreated silica fillers. It exhibits improved abrasion resistance, tensile strength and modulus. possesses low heat build-up, low rolling resistance and low viscosity. Ciptane™ I is recommended for sporting goods, conveyor belts, belting, engine mounts and tire treads.
