Silcat® R by Momentive Performance Materials is a crosslinking vinyl silane. Acts as a curing agent. Provides higher maximum use temperature, reduced deformation under load (creep), memory characteristics (for shrink film & tubing) and improved impact strength. Exhibits improved chemical resistance, superior environmental stress crack resistance and increased abrasion resistance. Silcat® R is designed to modify polyethylene resins and provide a means of crosslinking via moisture cure. Silcat® VS-966 Silane by Momentive Performance Materials is a blend of silane, peroxide, catalyst, antioxidants and metal deactivator. Used to produce crosslinked polyethylene low- and medium-voltage power cables. Can be used with a wide range of non-stabilized polyethylene grades. Improves process stability. Silcat® VS-966 Silane minimizes pregrafted/crosslinked particles in the insulation layer. Silcat® RHE Silane by Momentive Performance Materials is a crosslinking system (silane, peroxide and catalyst). It provides excellent performance on equipment designed for Monosil technology. Can be used with a wide range of stabilized LLDPE polyethylene grades for optimum cost-effectiveness. This also applies for non-stabilized resin used in association with an antioxidant masterbatch. A high onset temperature of the silane crosslinking agent improves process stability and minimizes pregrafted/crosslinked particles in the insulation layer. Silcat® RHE Silane is used for the manufacture of crosslinked LDPE & LLDPE polyethylene LV & MV cables using the Monosil(1) one-step process. Silcat® 17 Silane by Momentive Performance Materials is a modified vinyltrimethoxysilane containing a crosslinking tin catalyst. It is used as a one-step (Monosil) crosslinking system with the addition of a suitable peroxide. Its choice and concentration can be easily adapted to the specific grade and equipment used. Silcat® 17 Silane can be used to crosslink stabilized polyethylene grades in commercially available one-step extrusion equipment. It is used across several industrial production applications. Silcat® VS-735/1 Silane by Momentive Performance Materials is a blend of silane, peroxide, antioxidants and metal deactivator. Used to produce crosslinked polyethylene low- and medium-voltage power cables. Can be used with a wide range of non-stabilized polyethylene grades. Improves process stability. Silcat® VS-735/1 Silane minimizes pregrafted/crosslinked particles in the insulation layer. Silcat® VS-758/0 Silane by Momentive Performance Materials is a crosslinking system (silane, peroxide and catalyst) especially developed for the Monosil one-step process manufacture of HDPE pressure pipes that meet food regulations. Silcat® VS-758/0 Silane allows for the cost-effective production of moisture cross-linkable pipes. Silcat® RHS Silane by Momentive Performance Materials is a specially formulated, multi-component crosslinking system (silane, peroxide, catalyst and antioxidants) for use in moisture crosslinking of stabilized polyethylene or ethylenecopolymers. Silcat® RHS Silane shows excellent performance on equipment designed for Monosil technology and can provide enhanced stability when shipped or stored at elevated temperatures. Silcat® VS-963 Silane by Momentive Performance Materials is a fully stabilized crosslinking system (silane, peroxide, catalyst, antioxidants & metal deactivator). Used for the manufacture of crosslinked polyethylene LV & MV cables using the Monosil one-step process. Silcat® VS-904 Silane by Momentive Performance Materials is a crosslinking system (silane, peroxide and catalyst). The product is a proprietary, modified vinyltrimethoxysilane blend containing high levels of a cross-linking tin catalyst -DBTDL. The high level of cross-linking tin catalyst leads to short curing times in the post-treatment in either steam or hot water baths. Excellent electrical and mechanical properties are achieved for the insulation. The optimum levels of vinyltrimethoxysilane and organic peroxide can result in a low dosage level of the product. Silcat® VS-904 Silane can be used for cross-linking unstabilized polyethylene grades (LDPE/LLDPE) in commercially available one-step extrusion equipment designed for the manufacture of low- and medium-voltage power cables. On average between 1.2 and 1.6 % of the product is required - depending on the type and grade of polyethylene used. Silcat® VS-870 Silane by Momentive Performance Materials is a high performance and fully stabilized silane. Used as a crosslinker. Ensures very good grafting with ethylene copolymers.
