Signal Green™ ZQ-18 by DayGlo Color is a solid solution of fluorescent dyes in a thermoplastic modified polyamide resin. To ensure complete color development when incorporating the pigment into plastic resins, it is essential the minimum processing temperature of 350°F (175°C) is reached in order to completely melt and evenly distribute the pigment throughout the plastic. Signal Green™ ZQ-18 offers lower mold plate-out, increased plastic compatibility, required low processing temperatures and exhibits larger particle size to reduce dusting. Shows excellent heat stability and the maximum recommended processing temperature is 575°F. Signal Green™ A-18-N by DayGlo Color is a thermoplastic, fluorescent pigment. Suitable for use in vinyl plastisols and organisols. Also recommended for a wide range of applications where resistance to strong solvents is not required. The higher the pigment concentration, the better the light-fastness. The light-fastness of fluorescent pigment can be influenced by plasticizers, stabilizers and other additives. It performs well in a system based on aliphatic and some aromatic hydrocarbons. Signal Green™ A-18-N is usable in water systems where prolonged shelf life is not required.
