Saturn Yellow® AX-17-N

by DayGlo Color

Saturn Yellow® AX-17-N by DayGlo Color is a thermoplastic, fluorescent pigment. Recommended for a wide range of applications where resistance to strong solvents is not required. It performs well in a system based on aliphatic and some aromatic hydrocarbons. Saturn Yellow® AX-17-N is usable in water systems where prolonged shelf life is not required. Suitable for use in vinyl plastisols and organisols. The higher the pigment concentration, the better the light-fastness. The light-fastness of fluorescent pigment can be influenced by plasticizers, stabilizers and other additives.

Saturn Yellow® A-17-N

by DayGlo Color

Saturn Yellow® NX-17C

by DayGlo Color

Saturn Yellow® NX-17C by DayGlo Color is a solid solution of fluorescent dyes in a thermoplastic polyamide resin. The high tinctorial strength of the pigment permits higher amounts of TiO2 to be added for opacity while maintaining the fluorescent effect. Exhibits low blow pin plate-out and permit high pigment loading in concentrates. Saturn Yellow® NX-17C is used in polyethylene blow molded containers and other thin film applications. It is essential that the minimum processing temperature is reached to 190°C and the pigment is completely melted and evenly distributed throughout the plastic. This ensures complete color development when this pigment is incorporated into plastic resins.

Saturn Yellow® Z-17-N

by DayGlo Color

Saturn Yellow® Z-17-N by DayGlo Color is a solid solution of fluorescent dyes in a thermoplastic polyamide resin. Provides good heat stability and tinctorial strength and bright shades. To ensure complete development of the fluorescent color effect, the pigment must be completely melted and evenly distributed throughout the plastic system. The recommended minimum processing temperature for Saturn Yellow® Z-17-N is 370°F (190°C).

Saturn Yellow® GPX-17

by DayGlo Color

Saturn Yellow® GPX-17 by DayGlo Color is a supercharged high-performance fluorescent colorant developed especially for use in polyolefins. Exhibits superior processing properties, virtually eliminates the problem of plate-out at the blow-pin and in the mold cavity. It is completely formaldehyde-free and can be produced continuously at a high-speed with minimum downtime. Concentrated and masterbatch formulations can be simplified with the elimination of expensive or hard to handle additives for controlling plate-out and dispersion. Provides dust-free performance from a super high strength prill and cleanest, brightest fluorescent products. Designed for blow molding and injection molding. Saturn Yellow® GPX-17 is used at full strength for lowest cost in use or as a replacement for melt-in colorants for custom color matches.

Saturn Yellow® VC-17

by DayGlo Color

Saturn Yellow® VC-17 by DayGlo Color is a translucent vinyl-based pigment. Shows exceptional brightness, high tinctorial strength and excellent heat stability. Saturn Yellow® VC-17 is designed for maximum transparency and offers excellent edge glow. For opacity, TiO2 can be added at a ratio of 3:1 - VC-Pigment:TiO2. It displays no color change after a heat history of 20 minutes at 350°F (175°C) on a two roll mill. Suitable for rigid and plasticized PVC. Recommended for calendered, extruded and injection molded vinyl. For injection molding, the pigment should be converted into pellet form in order to minimize sifting, packing and potential burn-out. It do not cause build-up on calendering or two roll mill equipment and have a low degree of plate-out on metal surfaces of processing equipment. The typical use rate is 1-3% pigment by weight. It does not possess any lead or cadmium containing stabilizer.

Saturn Yellow® ZQ-17

by DayGlo Color

Saturn Yellow® ZQ-17 by DayGlo Color is a solid solution of fluorescent dyes in a thermoplastic modified polyamide resin. When the pigment is incorporated into plastic resins, it is essential that the minimum processing temperature of 350°F (175°C) is reached in order to completely melt and evenly distribute the pigment throughout the plastic to ensure complete color development. Saturn Yellow® ZQ-17 offers lower mold plate-out, increased plastic compatibility, required low processing temperatures and exhibits larger particle size to reduce dusting. Shows excellent heat stability and the maximum recommended processing temperature is 575°F.
