Arc Yellow™ A-16-N by DayGlo Color is a thermoplastic, fluorescent pigment. The higher the pigment concentration, the better the light-fastness. The light-fastness of fluorescent pigment can be influenced by plasticizers, stabilizers and other additives. Recommended for a wide range of applications where resistance to strong solvents is not required. It performs well in a system based on aliphatic and some aromatic hydrocarbons. Arc Yellow™ A-16-N is usable in water systems where prolonged shelf life is not required. Suitable for use in vinyl plastisols and organisols. Arc Yellow™ ZQ-16 by DayGlo Color is a solid solution of fluorescent dyes in a thermoplastic modified polyamide resin. Exhibits excellent heat stability and the maximum recommended processing temperature is 575°F. Arc Yellow™ ZQ-16 offers lower mold plate-out, increased plastic compatibility, required low processing temperatures and exhibits larger particle size to reduce dusting. When the pigment is incorporated into plastic resins, it is essential that the minimum processing temperature of 350°F (175°C) is reached in order to completely melt and evenly distribute the pigment throughout the plastic to ensure complete color development.
