ADD-MAX® 804

by AddComp (Altana Group)

PET carrier resin based processing aid masterbatch. It is designed to lower the apparent viscosity of the polymer melt during processing. It provides reduction of melt-fracture phenomenon along with reduction or elimination of die build-up. ADD-MAX® 804 lowers extrusion temperature, improves surface properties and reduces energy consumption as well as surface defects. It improves gauge control but reduces melt-orientation, die-swell and melt-pressure. The potentially higher throughputs can be achieved when capacity is available (10% - 30%). It offers faster color changes along with reduction of waste and less production interruptions. It does not influence end-product mechanical properties, such as tensile strength and impact resistance. Recommended for PET cast and blown films. Can also be used in blow molding and general extrusion. It is suitable to be used in pipes, tubes, as well as wires & cables. A dosing level of 1% is a good starting point, with a possible range between 0.8% and 2.0%.

ADD-MAX® 539

by AddComp (Altana Group)

LDPE carrier resin based processing aid masterbatch. It is designed to lower the apparent viscosity of the polymer melt during processing. It provides reduction of melt-fracture phenomenon along with reduction or elimination of die build-up. ADD-MAX® 539 lowers extrusion temperature, improves surface properties and reduces energy consumption, torque as well as surface defects. It improves gauge control but reduces melt-orientation, die-swell and melt-pressure. The potentially higher throughputs can be achieved when capacity is available (10% - 30%). It offers faster color changes along with reduction of waste and less production interruptions. It does not influence end-product mechanical properties, such as tensile strength, impact resistance, and long-term hoop stress (in pipe applications). Recommended for PP, HDPE and LLDPE cast and blown films. Can also be used in blow molding and general extrusion. It is suitable to be used in pipes, tubes, food packaging as well as wires & cables. The dosage level should be of 3%.

ADD-MAX® 182 (formerly: Optispin PA 182)

by AddComp (Altana Group)

Processing aid masterbatch. It effectively lowers the apparent viscosity of the polymer melt during processing which leads to reduced friction between the polymer melt and internal metal surfaces of the processing equipment. The reduced polymer friction in the extruder and die provides lower extrusion temperatures, higher line speeds, less power consumption and less fiber breakages in the melt phase (cooling zone). ADD-MAX® 182 (formerly: Optispin PA 182) enhances manufacturing efficiency for neutral- and dark coloured fine fibre staple fibers. The wider operating window allows process optimization to obtain better mechanical properties of the fibers. Recommended for polyamide 6 and 6,6 staple fibres produced on “short spin” lines. A dosing level of 1% is a good starting point, with a possible range between 0.8% and 5%.

ADD-MAX® 594

by AddComp (Altana Group)

ADD-MAX® 594 by AddComp (Altana Group) is LDPE carrier resin based processing aid masterbatch. It is designed to lower the apparent viscosity of the polymer melt during processing. It reduces friction between the polymer melt and internal metal surfaces of processing equipment, which improves production efficiency. ADD-MAX® 594 lowers extrusion temperature, improves surface properties and reduces energy consumption, torque as well as surface defects. ADD-MAX® 594 is suitable to be used in pipes, tubes, food packaging, wires & cables as well as filament & fiber products such as CF, BCF, POY, FDY and staple fibers. A dosing level of 1% is a good starting point, with a possible range between 0.5% and 2.0%.
