ADD-MAX® 182 (formerly: Optispin PA 182)
Supplied byAddComp (Altana Group)- Last Updated on Oct 12, 2018
Processing aid masterbatch. It effectively lowers the apparent viscosity of the polymer melt during processing which leads to reduced friction between the polymer melt and internal metal surfaces of the processing equipment. The reduced polymer friction in the extruder and die provides lower extrusion temperatures, higher line speeds, less power consumption and less fiber breakages in the melt phase (cooling zone). ADD-MAX® 182 (formerly: Optispin PA 182) enhances manufacturing efficiency for neutral- and dark coloured fine fibre staple fibers. The wider operating window allows process optimization to obtain better mechanical properties of the fibers. Recommended for polyamide 6 and 6,6 staple fibres produced on “short spin” lines. A dosing level of 1% is a good starting point, with a possible range between 0.8% and 5%.
