APS 5F

Supplied byUnited Initiators- Last Updated on Sep 29, 2022

APS 5F by United Initiators is a pure ammonium peroxydisulfate and silicic acid. It acts as an initiator (source of free radicals) for the polymerization of acrylic monomers, styrene and emulsion polymers. Also acts as a strong oxidizing agent in many applications and disinfectant. It enhances free flowing properties. It is a white, crystalline, odorless salt with molar mass 228,20 g/mol. APS 5F has an advantage of having a good storage stability as a result of its extremely high purity and of being easy and safe to handle. Due to its hygroscopic character it tends to lumping, especially in humid atmosphere and can be optionally supplied with an addition of silicic acid. Due to the uniform particle size distribution and the small particles itself this product is used preferably to produce solid formulations, e.g. hair bleaching powders.
