Rhenosin® RB

Rhenosin® RB by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a hardener and reinforcing resin for solid rubber. It enhances the hardness of vulcanizates, elongation at break, modulus and reduces tensile strength. It does not affect scorch and vulcanization characteristics. The addition of hardeners reduces the scorch time and changes the vulcanization pattern. It increases mix viscosity in NR, SBR, BR and EPDM but decreases in NBR. It is suitable for floor coverings, paper rollers, heels, soling sheets, oil-resistant seals, brake linings, solid hose material, hard and very hard vulcanizates such as apex compounds in radial tires. Recommended dosage level of Rhenosin® RB is 5-25 phr. It has a shelf life of 2 years.
