Rhenosin® A by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is phenol formaldehyde resin with hardening agent (hexamethylene tetramine). It is a reinforcing resin for solid rubber such as NR, SBR, BR, NBR (friction linings) and EPDM. It improves modulus and exhibits the deformation characteristics like shore hardness. It reduces scorch time, which prolongs cure time. It is applicable in brake linings, oil-resistant seals, heels, soling sheets, solid hose material, paper rollers, hard and very hard technical compounds. Recommended dosage level of Rhenosin® A is 5-25 phr. It has a shelf life of 2 years.
