Cel-Span® CFA 897

Cel-Span® CFA 897 by Phoenix Plastics is a 40% active endothermic foaming agent concentrate. It is recommended for extrusion applications for a variety of thermoplastic resins such as polyethylene, polypropylene, styrene, MPPO, and ABS. It is recommended for extrusion, and structural foam molding of applications that require a very fine cell structure compared to a typical endothermic foaming agent in extrusion applications. Cel-Span® CFA 897 is a mixture of polycarbonic acids and carbonates. Recommended usage levels for various applications like for extrusion is 1.0-2.0%, nucleation of direct gas foamed is 0.5%-1.0%, gas counter pressure is 1.0-2.5% and structural foamed molding is 1.5-2.5%.
