PAT-ADD DA 2709

PAT-ADD DA 2709 by PATCHAM FZC is polyester in isobutanol/ 1-methoxy-2-propanol. It is a green chemistry based wetting and dispersing additive for highly filler loaded UP resins systems. PAT-Add DA 2709 reduces the viscosity of polyester casting resin systems and improves the flow behavior and the leveling of the resin mixture, without affecting the curing or the color. It also reduces compound viscosity so that higher aluminum trihydroxide ATH loading in the resin is possible. The optimal amount of PAT-ADD DA 2709 to be used is system related, but generally is between 0.5 and 1.5% based on the filler. If filler loading is more than 75% dosage of PAT-ADD 2709 should be increased 1–2%. It is a REACH compliant.
