Benzene dicarboxylic acid ester of C9 alcohol; transparent liquid. Acts as a primary plasticizer for PVC and PVC copolymers. Shows solubility in most organic solvents. Offers good volatility, migration and non-toxicity. Present products with good light resistance, heat resistance, degradation resistance and electrical insulation. Gives fine performances and possesses stability. Possesses low flexibility because of its structure, which decreases plastics fragile of lower heat. Owing to its structural behavior, it lubricates itself. Used as preferable plasticizer for PVC, chlorethlene polymer, cellulose nitrate, ethyl cellulose and synthetic rubber; for producing cable with very good electrical specialties and as a non-carcinogen plasticizer in toy film, vinyl gloves, wall covering, vinyl flooring, carpet & novelties and synthetic rubber, wires & cables owing to its very good properties of water fastness, low toxicity, degradation resistance, electrical insulation.
