FerroFlam® PC RPM 240

FerroFlam® PC RPM 240 by Ferro-Plast is stabilized, micro-encapsulated and powder grade red phosphorus in SAN carrier resin, reinforced with glass fiber. Acts as a flame retardant. It contains 45-47% red phosphorus. It is free-flowing and dust-free. Can easily be dispersed in polymer compound. FerroFlam® PC RPM 240 is very easy to handle, accurate to dose and safe to process. It is endowed with high thermal stability. Developed specifically for PC. Recommended for electrical switches, domestic appliances, connectors and microwave ovens. Dosage should range from 3-6% (by wt.) based on the weight of polymers, PC grade, processing conditions and the required flame retardancy class. Dosage of 4% is usually sufficient to meet the most demanding applications for electrical components. It meets with UL94 rating V-0 at 1.6 mm in thickness.
