Epodil® 742 monofunctional reactive diluent by Evonik is cresyl glycidyl ether (CGE). Used to reduce the viscosity of epoxy resin systems. It causes molecular weight chain termination, and reduces the crystallization potential of standard epoxy resins. It minimizes the loss of chemical resistance and possesses low volatility. Epodil® 742 is used in laminates, tooling and electrical potting compounds.
