Ionphase™ U2 by Cargill is a halogen-free, permanent anti-static agent. It is a non-migrating, not humidity dependent, recyclable and ready-to-use polymer additive. It forms an interpenetrated network within the host polymer reducing the resistivity of the blend. It offers control & safety for static electricity caused issues, improved non-charging properties and reduced charge decay time. It is used in thermoformed sheets & trays for electronic components or PCB, covers & housing parts for electronic components, and carrier tapes & reels for electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection. Ionphase™ U2 is suitable for compounding, injection molding and extrusion applications with styrenics and POM. It has a maximum shelf life of 730 days.
